The long-awaited "Friends Book/Bake Sale is here!"  And it's September 7th and 8th and will continue through the following week ending on the 15th.  There will be a combination Book Sale and Bake Sale on Friday and Saturday, with lots of sweet stuff to buy as you browse for books.  The Book/Bake Sale hours are Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm.  The following week the hours are 9am to 8pm Monday & Tuesday, and Wednesday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

        There are hardback books and paperback books.  There are some fiction books and some non-fiction; some adult and some childrens books, some audio books, some videos too, and there will be cookies, cakes, pies, and candy!  There is sure to be something for everyone this year.  We have been collecting books and media all year long and now the BOOK/BAKE SALE is finally here!  Come to the Graves County Public Library for this once-a-year fundraiser for the Friends of the Library.

        The Friends Membership Drive begins September 1st.  Please become a member of the Friends Group! This fun group meets once a month to discuss ways to provide support to Library programs, and to purchase media and supplies that will enhance and benefit the Library. To join a single membership is only $10.00, and just look at what all you get by becoming a Friend: 

• You get to come to the Thursday Sneak-Preview night before the fall Book Sale

• you get priority on all best seller waiting lists

• you get to check out videos and DVD's for 7 days instead of 5 days

• you get a Friends Newsletter telling you all the things the Friends are doing to support the        library's programs 

    All proceeds from the Book/Bake Sale will go to fund Library programs and purchase needed equipment and supplies for the Library.  Tell your neighbors and tell your friends about the Friends Book/Bake Sale.  Take home an armful of much loved books and baked goods to share with your family!
