What draws her legion fans (both men and women) to Janet Evanovich's Mystery series, which features bounty-hunter-in-training Stephanie Plum, often assisted by her eccentric grandmother and assorted and equally incompetent friends and co-workers? Is it the wacky humor in both situations and dialog? Or the sassy, "smart-mouthed," female protagonist and her sidekicks?
